| The prime purpose of the Addlestone community
website is a gateway to information on the local area
in order to promote the interests of the residents of
Addlestone in all aspects of their lives. It is
also for visitors to the area, prospective visitors
and prospective residents.
A secondary aim is to help users of the Internet find
their way around local information efficiently without
having to spend lots of time wading through large search
results from the search engines.
The site is non-profit making but a charge is made for advertisements in order to fund the cost of maintaining the site.
The Windsor Link Railway
The Windsor Link Railway is a proposed new railway to better connect the Thames Valley, Heathrow and the surrounding region. It is an alternative to the Air Track proposals.
It works by joining the small gaps in the existing rail network that currently frustrate effective travel. This includes restoring the link between High Wycombe and Maidenhead, between Ascot and Farnborough and linking Heathrow to Windsor - all in sympathy with local and national needs.

Pinewood Studios
Pinewood Studios and Shepperton Studios have merged to consolidate two world-renowned UK production centers. The impressive heritage of these sister Studios dates back to the pioneering days of 1930's filmmaking. The studios have accommodated some of silver screens most spectacular moments, memorable stars & ambitious sets. Batman, Lara Croft, James Bond and Superman have all walked the corridors, while the stages and back-lots have become ice palaces, Cambodian tombs, space ships and Paris Operas. Currently home to, among others, Tim Burton?s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
